Popular Paleo is a labor of love. If I could physically feed everyone a delicious Paleo dinner at my table each night, I would do it in a heartbeat. Instead I get to share recipes, resources and information here and hope that you are nourished by it in some form. My hope is to show anyone who happens to stumble upon my site that a lifestyle which omits gluten, most grains, legumes, soy, most dairy, refined sugar and pretty much anything processed, is approachable and full of great food to eat!
But the amount of work that goes into that hope might surprise you… It sure as heck has surprised me!
I wake up at 5am to start researching and planning out what I can should share with everyone for the day. Every. Day. If I don’t wake up before my kids, next to nothing would get shared on my Facebook page, Twitter, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, Instagram and Google+ accounts. I stay up long after they’re asleep writing, researching, planning recipes, editing photos, and learning how to make a website work (which goes a little like this scene from Zoolander). You should see my to-do list. Actually, no. You should see my goals list! I am not short of ideas, that’s for sure.
There is so much more that I want to produce for you guys, but I’m finding it hard to take care of my health, my family, my blog AND tackle the other things that I feel are really important. The time has come for me to take this Paleo thing to the next level, but to do that I need to focus. And you guys will be glad I did. BIG things will be coming from me in 2014 and I’m so excited to have the opportunities that are in front of me!
Even though I often think that I can do it all, my body from time to time reminds me otherwise. I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t respect what my body needs and make decisions accordingly. So that’s what I’m gonna do. I’m gonna take a little break from blogging and social media and spend some time playing in the kitchen with stock bones, SCOBY, offal… and all the other weird stuff us Paleo folks are into. Time for me to unplug, hit reset and spend some time outlining new thoughts, recipes and resources for all of you awesome people who follow my blog.
While I’m away, here’s what you can expect:

- A post or two from me giving you sneak peeks of what I’m up to
- Lots of resources to help you with key areas of healthy living
- Updated Pinterest boards and Google+ posts! (Pinterest and Google+ are way more fun than Facebook… I’ll be spending time there more and more in the future.)
- I may be responding to questions, emails and comments a little slower — but I will get back to you!
