What goes better with a Chili Lime Turkey Burger than Chili Lime Sweet Potato Fries!? Granted this is a bit of a Captain Obvious side, but these fries totally hit the spot. Plus, they were a welcome change from my typical sweet potato fries made with olive oil and grill seasoning. I think the squeeze of fresh lime juice at the end is what does it for me… These were really delicious.
- 3 medium sweet potatoes
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- juice of half a lime
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Peel and slice the sweet potatoes.
Bring together the spice blend in a small bowl. This would be the chili powder, garlic powder, ground coriander and salt.
Melt 1/4 cup of coconut oil and pour over the fries. Toss to coat.
Once the sweet potatoes are covered in the melted coconut oil, start tossing in the spice blend. Do this quickly as the coconut oil will start to solidify again as it cools. It’s not a big deal if it does, it just means the spices won’t distribute as evenly. I’m sure you can figure out a way to work around that.
Place the seasoned fries in your favorite roasting pan or cookie sheet and roast at 400 degrees for roughly 25-30 minutes.
These fries will be quite fragrant when they are done cooking.
Serve hot and squeeze on some fresh lime juice just before eating.
